Useful at best on Flat and fair form over hurdles for Anthony Charlton and Gary & Josh Moore (though below form on final two outings for those connections). Should be competitive if back to his best on debut for excellent yard.

Shaped better than previously in this sphere when fourth at Worcester (16f) in September and won on the Flat at Chelmsford City (14f) the following month. Considerately handled when a well held third on final qualifying run (following 7 months off) and could do better now handicapping.

Fairly useful on Flat and modest winning hurdler for these connections. Again didn't look the most straightforward when last seen finishing well held in a 2m Warwick handicap in September 2023. Cheekpieces he wore that day are retained and market may guide expectations on first run for 20 months.

Maiden in Ireland for Barry Connell but thrived on Level for these connections. Sole hurdle start for James Owen (third of 5 at Fakenham, 2½m) offered some encouragment and recent Flat win at Brighton confirms he's in excellent heart. Down in trip and warrants plenty of respect back over hurdles.

Regressive maiden on the Flat and well held in 3 runs over hurdles in October/November. Significant improvement needed on handicap debut.

Remains a maiden after twenty runs but often performs creditably at this venue. Held every chance when falling at the last here over 18.6f in March and has continued in good heart since, latest third in a C&D handicap 24 days ago. Should be in the mix again.

Typically strong travelling course winner held her form well last season, far from disgraced on latest outing at Newcastle (16.9f) in October. Has since had another breathing operation and holds definite form claims if ready to roll after 7 months off.

Four-time winner on the Flat for Andrew McNamara in Ireland but more miss than hit over hurdles. offering little in 4 outings for current yard, the latest when pulled-up here on first start following wind surgery. Best to look elsewhere.

Forecasts

Nachtgeist (5/6), Market House (4/1), Game Beaaa (5/1), Buxted Reel (15/2), Gms Prince (11/1), Choirmaster (33/1), Malinheadsearovers (66/1), Red Trail (80/1)

16:35 Market Rasen - 2 June 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Most of the 8 runners in with a chance, marginal preference is for MARKET HOUSE on only second hurdles start for James Owen, having thrived on the Flat since joining the yard that does so well with new recruits. Gms Prince remains a maiden but so often runs creditably here, so she should be in the mix again along with potential improvers Buxted Reel and Nachtgeist.
