Winner at Lingfield in April and got back on the up when second of 6 in handicap (5/1) at Newcastle (10.2f) 20 days ago, despite needing stronger gallop. Likely to go well again, especially if getting a good pace to aim at.

Redcar novice winner who matched reappearance form when third of 8 in handicap (10/3) at Haydock (8f, good to firm) 21 days ago, unsuited by drop in trip. Step up in trip looks a good move and could have a bigger performance in him.

Showed improved form to get off the mark in 7-runner novice at Beverley (8.4f, good to soft) 45 days ago, driven out. Lacks scope but may have a bit to offer now stepping up further in trip on handicap debut.

Forecasts

Too Don Juan (9/4), War Hawk (3/1), Eupator (4/1), Magellan Cloud (6/1), Wilhelmina (15/2), Kokanee (8/1), Premier (16/1), Kimeko Glory (20/1), Sir Paul Ramsey (22/1), Sovereign Applause (50/1)

17:05 Chester - 31 May 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

MAGELLAN CLOUD is a well-made gelding who could well have a bigger performance in his locker now stepping up in trip, so he earns the vote in a competitive-looking 3-y-o handicap. Too Don Juan should be seen in a better light now handicapping over further, while Kokanee is worth another chance to resume his progress away from firm ground.
