4/1, ran to a similar level as on debut when fourth of 12 in novice at Beverley (5f, good to firm) 27 days ago. Step up to 6f should suit and could well put his experience to good use.

Forecasts

Underwriter (11/10), Sunny Smile (10/3), Kanishka (5/1), Whisperwood (9/1), Strength of Spirit (9/1), Sudbury Hill (14/1), Saxon Gem (125/1)

14:30 Ayr - 21 May 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The market will no doubt prove informative, but the vote goes to UNDERWRITER, who represents the burgeoning Wathnan Racing team and trainer Archie Watson can certainly ready a newcomer. Heading up the dangers is fellow debutant Strength of Spirit, while Kanishka has shaped with promise on both starts so far and this step up to 6f promises to suit.
