Foaled March 13. 5,000 gns yearling, Zoustar gelding. Dam, 11.4f winner, half-sister to useful 7f-1m winner Western Writer. Something of a mix on breeding but yard are 2-11 with their juveniles on turf in recent seasons and the betting can point the way.

Coulsty gelding who showed a bit when twelfth in the Brocklesby on debut but couldn't replicate that having been bumped/carried right leaving stalls when fifth of 7 in novice at Musselburgh (5f, good) 22 days ago. Needs to step up in any case on what he's achieved to date.

Ubettabelieveit colt who ran to a fair level when just touched off in 9-runner novice at Pontefract (5f) 21 days ago, running and just failing. That was a sound start and he could well build on that. Respected.

Lope Y Fernandez filly. Half-sister to 9.5f winner Delphinus. Hinted at ability when sixth of 10 in novice at Redcar (5f, good, 33/1) on debut 28 days ago, getting the idea late to stay on final 50 yds. Likely she can build on that.

Foaled March 30. £15,000 yearling, Lope Y Fernandez filly. Well fancied in the market and showed plenty to work on amidst greenness when second of 8 in novice at Pontefract (5f, good) on debut 21 days ago. Looks up to winning a race of this nature but draw makes things tricky.

14:20 Beverley - 5 May 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

UBETTERSEETHIS showed plenty of ability when just touched off on his debut at Pontefract 3 weeks ago, the manner of his finishing effort suggesting this stiff finish will suit and he can confirm the promise of that run from a handy draw. Saucy Jane hasn't been so fortunate in that regard, yet her debut performance at the same track suggests she's up to playing her part. Newcomer The Caddy Master and Greek Gold are others to consider in the opener.
