Won 3 times over hurdles and perfect start in this sphere when taking a 21f Cartmel handicap last May. Bounced back following a couple of below par displays on his latest start at Ayr (20.5f, good) where he found just one too good, shaping as though this trip will be within his range.

Bagged a good 3m handicap at Chepstow on return after a third breathing operation in October. Mixed bag since, commensurate with his somewhat up-and-down profile, but the ability is certainly there if he's on a going day.

Smart hurdler at his best and made a successful return/chase debut in novices' handicap at Warwick in October. Has kept good company since but looks vulnerable all the same.

Registered latest success in this sphere off 1 lb higher at Sandown last spring and, on the back of a wind op, he opened his hurdles account in 21f Kempton novice in February. Respectable effort returned to fences last time but improvement will be needed with blinkers enlisted here.

Just the one success over fences so far, namely a Bangor handicap back in 2023. Still, he was in good form when placed 4 times between August and November last year, offering hope that his turn may not be too far away. Each-way shout.

Winning Irish pointer who scored twice over hurdles during 2023/24 campaign. Off the mark in this sphere at Perth (23.8f, soft) recently and it's unlikely that a 7 lb rise will be enough to stop her in her tracks.

Bounced back to form when taking the 12-runner Grimthorpe Chase at Doncaster (26f, good) in March but failed to fire at Cheltenham recently. Others preferred.

Twice a winner of small-field handicap chases at around 2½m in 2023 and went close at Market Rasen last summer. Again runner-up in the Grand Sefton at Aintree in November and, having also performed with credit back from a break at Ayr (20.5f, good), he is one to consider upped in trip here.

Hurdles winner who opened chase account in good style at Southwell (20.4f, soft) in December. Placed on 2 of his 4 subsequent starts, including when upped to this trip at Ayr last time, but Coco Mademoiselle is clealry the stable first-string.

Dual hurdles winner in 2022/23 and, equipped with first-time cheekpieces, he left his previous form in this sphere well behind when landing a 4-runner handicap at Huntingdon (23.6f, good) last month. More on his plate up 5 lb in this tougher race.

Resumed progress when landing the 3m Rowland Meyrick at Wetherby on Boxing Day but it's been downhill all the way since and now finds himself with something to prove.

Rejuvenated by fitting of cheekpieces when landing Edinburgh National at Musselburgh for a second time in February. Conversely, the handicapper predictably took a swipe at him in light of that clear-cut success and he subsequently struggled in the Scottish National at Ayr.

COCO MADEMOISELLE is likely to be a warm order and rightly so, having improved when scoring with any amount in hand at Perth recently. She remains feasibly treated up 7 lb and will prove a tough nut to crack. This step up in trip promises to suit Vintage Fizz and he is second choice, albeit only marginally as both Destroytheevidence and Pull Again Green are also shortlisted.
