The vote goes to SPIRIT OF ACKLAM, who was lit up by the first-time cheekpieces when down the field on his seasonal reappearance at Doncaster but, with that run under his belt, he will hopefully be more tractable this time. The 4-y-o was beaten just ½-length when third to Can't Stop Now over this C&D during the autumn and now meets that rival on 5 lb better terms. Can't Stop Now will nevertheless have a chance if on-song but Sea Regal is feared most on debut for the David O'Meara yard.
