Fair hurdler who is yet to get off the mark but good second in 2m Worcester maiden and was in the process of running creditably again there next time when departing. However, he ran poorly when last seen at Plumpton (20.5f, good to soft) in September and is entitled to come on for this.

Returned to form when landing a 12-runner handicap hurdle at Worcester (2½m, good to firm) last July. Followed that with a good third at Uttoxeter 16 days later and could have a part to play provided he is raring to go now back with Fergal O'Brien.

Fair maiden on the Flat in France, making the frame all 5 starts at up to 10.5f. Left hurdles debut effort behind when second of 5 in a Ludlow juvenile (2m, good to soft) in November but pulled up back from a break there in February and needs to get back on track now handicapping.

Fairly useful ex-Irish Flat maiden finished a creditable third in 16.5f Market Rasen handicap hurdle last June before finding stiff track probably against him at Hexham later that month. However, returned from a break last month with a couple of rather tame efforts and he's probably worth taking on.

Fair winner on the Flat and did the job well when opening hurdles account at tenth attempt over C&D (good to firm) a fortnight ago. 4 lb rise for that ready success could be on the lenient side and another bold show on the cards with similar conditions likely.

10/1
Flat winner who performed well on a couple of occasions over hurdles last summer, including when fourth in a big-field Stratford handicap. Safely held final 2 starts of last year but resumes on a reduced mark on the back of a wind op and it'd be no surprise were she to play a part in the finish.

Opened hurdles account in a 10-runner novice handicap at Kempton (2m, good) earlier this month, driven out to keep the strong-finishing runner-up at bay. 4 lb rise fair enough and while more will be needed if this 4-y-o is to follow up, the weight-for-age allowance will certainly help.

Still to win in this sphere and while he posted one of his better efforts when chasing home Taritino over this C&D recently, it's hard to envisage him reversing those placings.

Forecasts

Taritino (1/1), Record Art (9/2), Fine Point (6/1), Jo's Rainbow (10/1), Albert Park (12/1), R S Ambush (14/1), Galactic Glow (14/1), Kotgar (40/1)

19:00 Taunton - 23 April 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Having opened his hurdles account in good style over C&D two weeks ago, TARITINO looks the way to go with similar conditions forecast and having gone up a very fair 4 lb for that. Jo's Rainbow is of interest judged on her form from last summer and she will be a threat if able to get back on track following a break/wind surgery. Kempton winner Fine Point and Record Art are others to consider.
