C&D scorer made it 3 wins from his last 4 starts when much improved to win a 12-runner handicap at Lingfield (6f) 7 weeks ago by 1¼ lengths from Carbine Harvester, quickening to put the race to bed. Up further 6 lb but there may be more improvement to come with talented claimer back in the saddle.

Looked a useful prospect when winning pair of 6f Wolverhampton novices last autumn but has failed to justify market support in two outings subsequently. Finished fourth in 7f Southwell handicap latest, unable to sustain the effort having hit the front. Needs to improve for the drop back to 6f.

Big improver in AW handicaps for top yard, completing a hat-trick of 6f successes under this jockey. Winning run ended when runner-up behind So Darn Hot but quickly regained the winning thread at Kempton (6f) 11 days ago. That was a career-best and he should go well again under a penalty.

Confirmed debut promise when winning at odds-on in a Kempton novice in February. Progressed again to land a C&D maiden last month and although not a deep event, he did it in taking style. 1 of 3 runners for excellent stable and has to be respected on handicap debut.

Well-held on turf first 2 starts but different proposition switched to AW, winning a 6f maiden and conditions race at Dundalk in the autumn. Looked rusty on reappearance at the same venue 35 days ago and was likely minded with this race in mind. Has improvement to find up in class.

Left debut form well behind when scoring in convincing fashion in 8-runner novice at Linfield (6f). Narrowly failed when again making the running over the same C&D last month, sticking to the task well and only beaten by a fellow improver. Could step forward again on handicap debut.

Progressive sort narrowly denied the hat-trick (having been very strong in the betting) when second in a 6f Southwell handicap 34 days, keeping on well in the closing stages. Stays further and could be seen to better effect if this is a truly-run race. Not ruled out.

Took a significant step forward from his Southwell maiden win when an eye-catching third behind So Darn Hot last month, travelled well and finished with running left having been caught too far back. This has clearly been the target since and he looks to have a leading chance.

Still in need of the experience when landing the odds (8/13) in 9-runner novice at Southwell (6.1f) in December, racing freely but quickening to lead over 1f out. Matched that form (after 3 months off) when third at Lingfield but needs to take a step forward to land this on handicap debut.

Twice successful in handicaps last year (including over C&D) but was unable to live with two better handicapped rivals at Southwell (6f) in February, 1¾ lengths third of 5 to Humam. Could be vulnerable again from the same mark.

Off the mark on return/yard debut at Kempton in January and followed up in 6-runner novice at Wolverhampton (5.1f) the following month. Unable to build on that when third over the same C&D 13 days ago. More needed.

Building up a fine record, making it 3 wins from 8 starts when winning 5-runner handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 59 days ago. Could be suited by a truly-run 6f but this represents a step up in class.

Off the mark on handicap debut at Southwell (6f) prior to shaping encouragingly when fifth of 11 in a better race over the same C&D last time, travelled well and didn't get the clearest of runs. May be further improvement to come.

Landed the hat-trick in a 7f Newcastle handicap last month and possibly found the race coming soon enough when fourth of 13 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f) just 4 days on. Now reverts to sprinting in first-time tongue tie. Not ruled out in a strongly run race. Also declared 4.50 Lingfield.

Andrew Balding is triple-handed and this may fall to MARCHOGION who was much improved when an unlucky third behind the progressive So Darn Hot at Lingfield last time. He's better off at the weights with that rival and may be able to reverse the form. Leadenhall Street shaped better than the bare result at Southwell and could outrun his odds.
