Notched fourth success here (2m, good to soft) in November and it may have been a case of the busy spell catching up with him when pulled up over C&D 10 days later. Given a break since and live each-way chance if resuming in good order.

Gained reward for consistency over hurdles when opening his account in handicap at Taunton (19f, good) last spring. However, he has yet to trouble the judge in this sphere and is likely again playing for minor place money.

Had 3 runs over hurdles (all at 2m) towards end of last year, seemingly taking a step forward when fourth at Uttoxeter on latest start in December. It's interesting that connections have elected to make this quick switch to fences for the 6-y-o's handicap debut and he's one to note in the betting.

Better than ever to win last 2 starts over fences 3½ months apart, again making all at Wincanton (20.2f, heavy) when last seen at the end of January. 5 lb rise fair enough and bold show likely as he bids for the hat-trick.

Won a pair of handicap chases here in 2024, the latest in October, and good second in a big-field handicap hurdle at Chepstow the following month. However, he hasn't put his best foot forward in 3 subsequent starts and his sometimes errant jumping remains a cause for concern.

Fair hurdler, winner of Hereford handicap off 12 lb higher in January 2023, but she has been sparingly campaigned since, failing to threaten in 4 starts since switched to fences. Has undergone a wind op since latest start. Tongue strap applied.

From the family of Welsh Grand National winner Potters Corner and improved at the second time of asking over fences when easily accounting for 5 rivals in a C&D handicap (good to soft) last month. 10 lb rise tolerable and she has to enter calculations.

Forecasts

Filanderer (6/4), Bertie Wooster (4/1), Fay Ce Que Voudras (5/1), Boston Joe (13/2), Princess Keri (17/2), Jumbo Mills (12/1), Jimmyjeroo (16/1), Lermoos Legend (25/1)

16:37 Ffos Las - 17 April 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

It could be significant that the Skelton team are sending JUMBO MILLS chasing following three qualifying runs over the smaller obstacles and the hint should be taken if there is confidence behind this 6-y-o in the betting. The hat-trick seeking Filanderer is a much-respected main danger, while Princess Keri also needs considering on the back of her C&D success and an on-song Lermoos Legend would have a chance, too.
