Makes plenty of appeal on paper and proved sharp enough to make a winning debut under hands-and-heels riding in 5-runner Newcastle novice (1m) back in January. Open to improvement upped in trip/switched to turf but this is a lot tougher.

9,000 gns foal, 60,000 gns yearling, Make Believe colt. Half-brother to several winners, including useful 1¼m-1½m winner Eneryda and 2-y-o 1¼m winner Enzel. Dam 1½m winner. Starts out in what looks a warm enough race so one to monitor in the betting for clues.

Dubawi brother to connections' very smart 1¼m-1½m (British Champions Fillies/Mare Stakes) winner Journey. Not much in the way of short-term promise when eighth of 12 on debut in a Newcastle novice (7f) in November but surprise were he not able to leave that well behind in due course.

Teofilo gelding who produced a promising first effort amidst greenness when fourth of 9 in novice at Wolverhampton (8.6f) on debut 25 days ago, making good late headway having been caught further back than ideal. Very much the type to improve now tackling 1¼m.

€190,000 yearling, Frankel colt. Half-brother to several winners, including smart winner up to 9f A Raving Beauty and 2-y-o 7f winner A Racing Beauty. Dam lightly raced. Noteworthy newcomer for very good stable and interesting if the betting spoke in his favour.

Lope De Vega colt who shaped with plenty of encouragement first time up when 2 lengths third of 13 in a Kempton novice (1m) in December, keeping on without being knocked about. Hails from a talented middle-distance family and he looks sure to build on that. Tongue strap on 1st time.

160,000 gns yearling, Ulysses colt. Equipped with a hood, found himself out speeded as the pace lifted late on when last of 4 in novice at Newcastle (6f, 12/1) on debut 43 days ago. Takes a marked step up in trip now which can see him in a better light but he's probably one for later on.

Cracksman colt who was easy to back but made a good start nevertheless when finishing a close-up third in 11-runner Doncaster maiden (1m) in September, finishing with a flourish as the penny dropped. Rates the type to step forward considerably from that and he's shortlisted on return.

Despite proving easy to back, VALEDICTORY produced a highly promising first effort when third in a maiden at Doncaster (1m) in September, finishing with a flourish as the penny dropped. The son of Cracksman rates the type to step forward significantly now his stamina is tested further as a 3-y-o and earns the vote ahead of similarly promising pair Push The Limit and Spanish Voice.
