Airtothethronep10(ex 7)
Age: 9|  Weight: 12-7| J: Lewis Saunders(7)| T: Billy Aprahamian| OR:  100| CD
13/2
Failed to meet expectations starting out for this yard at Southwell at the begining of last month but left that form well behind when proving 2½ lengths too strong for Another Lord over C&D (good to soft) recently. Major player under a penalty.

Age: 8|  Weight: 12-0| J: Harry Bannister| T: R Bandey| OR:  100
6/1
Consistent sort who has made the frame on each of his last 8 starts, most recently excelling himself when third from 15 lb out of the handicap proper in the Sussex National at Plumpton (28.5f, soft) in February. Switched yards since and needs considering back down in class off his correct mark.

12/1
Bagged 3m Exeter handicap (good to soft) for second year running last month, holding on for a narrow success. 3 lb rise fair enough and shouldn't be far away but others nevertheless make more appeal from a win point of view this time.

On a losing run but has made the frame on several occasions this season, including when 2¼ lengths third of 8 to Bampton Star at Exeter last time. 3 lb better off with that rival now and he's an each-way player.

Fairly useful bumper winner in 2022 and while he didn't show much in handful of runs over hurdles, he has gradually got his act together in this sphere, landing a 4-runner Fontwell handicap (3¼m, heavy) on latest start in February. 4 lb rise by no means the end of the world and he's one to consider.

Perfect Pupilp21
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-5| J: Daire James McConville(7)| T: M Keighley| OR:  91
20/1
Modest ex-Irish hurdler/chaser who wasn't discredited on his yard debut when fourth of 6 in handicap chase at Leicester (2½m, good to soft) last month. Performed to a similar level at Hereford since and will need to raise his game in order to emerge on top here.

Another Lord10
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-3| J: James Bowen| T: P & M Bowen| OR:  89
9/2
Winning hurdler who didn't jump with much fluency when fourth to Bampton Star at Exeter on penultimate start. However, he kept the mistakes to a minimum when 2½ lengths second to Airtothethrone over this C&D last time and, now 7 lb better off at the weights with that rival, he needs considering.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-1| J: Jack Tudor| T: D Pipe| OR:  87| BF
11/4
Well held in novice/maiden hurdles towards end of 2024 but different proposition sent chasing with a tongue strap added, following up his Lingfield victory with minimum fuss at Leicester in February. However, he was disappointing when bidding for the hat-trick back at that course last time.

80/1
Bumper/hurdles winner for Fergal O'Brien but has struggled since returning from an absence for this yard. Fitting of cheekpieces and tongue strap (latter now discarded) failed to bring about a return to form at Exeter recently.

It's been a struggle this season and again failed to fire when a well-held third back hurdling at Hereford last time. Others preferred.

Showed a bit more than previously over fences when third of 13 in handicap over this C&D (heavy) in February. Failed to complete back here next time and he will be a threat granted a clear round.

River Run Free (11/4), Another Lord (9/2), Sadler's Bay (6/1), Try The Money (13/2), Airtothethrone (13/2), Bampton Star (12/1), Shot Boii (14/1), Lelant (16/1), Record High (16/1), Perfect Pupil (20/1), Pennant Legacy (66/1), Imperial Storm (80/1)

19:15 Ffos Las - 16 April 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The outcome of this race could be the same as the C&D handicap 10 days ago, in which AIRTOTHETHRONE took the measure of Another Lord. The latter has clear prospects of reversing those placings on these revised terms but the suspicion remains that Airtothethrone had a bit left up his sleeve that day and he is taken to emerge on top once again. Sadler's Bay put in a very good shift at Plumpton last time and he has claims on debut for a new yard, while Record High is also appealing.
