Stamford Agricultural Services Limited Novices' Handicap Chase

Back to winning ways in mares' handicap chase at Worcester (20f) in July under this rider. Not so good in 2 runs in the winter and presumably not the easiest to train given her lightly-raced profile in recent years but she is down in grade here.

Well backed when going close on handicap debut at Southwell in December, that his only effort of note over hurdles. Quickly switches to chasing after a poor run at Wetherby and he should stay 3m. No surprise if he went well.

From a good family (that of Simonsig and Dusart) and this point winner finished second in 3m Fakenham hunter chase on Rules debut back in May 2022. Off a long time after though and hasn't shown much this season, bombing out on handicap chase debut 9 weeks ago. Cheekpieces go on. Tough to assess.

Made a winning start over fences at Ludlow in October and some respectable efforts in defeat after. Poor the last twice, though, including back here 3 weeks ago.

Took 25f Thurles handicap chase in December with an uncharacteristically assured round of jumping. Stiff task at Leopardstown last time and not out of this.

Bumper/handicap hurdle winner who looks a tricky ride, proving so again when well backed and well beaten at Doncaster last time. Blinkers replace cheekpieces for this chase debut back from 4 months off. Yard have won this twice in last 3 years.

Had shown precious little on both starts since a lengthy absence but was gambled on and opened her account in this sphere with plenty in hand in 21f Fakenham mares' handicap 4 weeks ago. Up 7 lb with stamina to prove but no surprise if she went well again.

Mixed bag since her winning chasing start in October but back on a good mark and return to 3m/fences will suit. One to note with in-form conditional up.

Winning handicap hurdler who showed plenty to work on sent chasing at Taunton (23f, good to soft) in January, but well beaten at Ludlow next time. Down 3 lb and could bounce back.

Dual winner in low-grade 3m handicap chases last May and returned to form from out of the blue back down in trip at Ffos Las (19.4f) last week, although he had a hard race. Others preferred.
