Quirky sort but runner-up in last season's Midlands National. However, ended time with Willie Mullins on a low-key note last spring and refused to race on return/stable debut at Wetherby in December. Pulled up at Kelso only run since. Best left alone.

Better than ever when resuming winning ways at Newbury (26f) over Christmas and not disgraced when eighth of 24 in Ultima at Cheltenham (25f) only run since. One to consider now tackling a longer trip.

Quite lightly raced since scoring at Kempton over 2 years ago but he arrives in good nick, third of 13 in Ladbrokes Trophy at Kempton (24f) in February. Respected.

Only third run over fences when winning 15-runner novice chase at Naas (20f) 34 days ago. Lacks experience but he showed a good attitude there so is no forlorn hope stepping up markedly in trip for his handicap chase debut. One of 6 for yard.

Took this event as a novice 12 months ago but he's yet to fire in four runs this term, pulled up in handicap chase at Punchestown (27f) in February. No surprise to see him bounce back here though for Mullins team.

Cheekpieces on for the first time when resuming winning ways in Grand National Trial at Haydock in February. Backed it up with a solid sixth in Ultima at Cheltenham since so he needs considering with the emphasis more on stamina here.

Very useful 2m4f hurdle winner. On the up over fences this season (third in 3m Navan maiden chase) but unseated his rider 13th in National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham last month. This increased stamina test promises to suit so he's one for the shortlist from the Mullins sextet.

Signed off last term with a fine second in this event and teed himself up well for another good run here when a staying-on third in the Edinburgh National in February. A likely player off an unchanged mark.

A useful 3m-winning hurdler here last spring and he's shown promise over fences this term, still going well when unseated rider 4 out in 3m Grade 2 novice at Navan in February. Appeals as a very likely improver now handicapping with his stamina drawn out. Could prove the pick of the Mullins team.

It's now 11 runs since his last win in 2022 but he turned in his best effort of the season when fourth of 17 in handicap chase at Punchestown (27f) 51 days ago. Possibilities with cheekpieces added from the Mullins team.

Resumed with a win in 2m6f handicap chase at Newbury in November and has posted two solid efforts since, seventh of 23 in Kim Muir Chase at Cheltenham on latter occasion. This longer trip promises to suit this son of Fame And Glory so he's a lively outsider.

Dual-winning hurdler for Nicky Henderson. Made a low-key start for Gary Brown over fences but has revived of late and didn't ejoy the smoothest of passages when 11th of 23 in Kim Muir at Cheltenham last time. Can't be ruled out for another new yard.

Willie Mullins took this 12 months ago and could again hold sway with his unexposed handicap debutant CHOSEN WITNESS taken to emerge on top now he tackles a marathon trip for the first time. Joe Tizzard's new recruit Rock My Way could emerge as the chief threat on the back of an excellent second in Cheltenham's National Hunt Chase, with The Kniphand, Wiseguy and Surrey Quest also firmly in the picture. Olympic Man and Captain Cody can't be ruled out either from the all-conquering Mullins camp.
