Garnered his third success of the season over C&D in January but only tenth of 17 in handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (23.3f, soft) 27 days ago. Sort to bounce back.

Back on the up since reverted to hurdles and he posted an excellent third of 16 in handicap at Kelso (21f) 20 days ago, travelling strongly long way. Bold showing is on the cards off an unchanged mark.

Marginal preference in this cracking handicap is for Dan Skelton's progressive ACE OF SPADES who posted a very good fourth on his handicap bow at Kelso last time and should find this first go over 3m also to his benefit. I Am Max rates a big threat on the back of his excellent recent third at the same track, while handicap debutant Histronic and in-form trio Imperial Merlin, Gaillimh A Stor and Kintail all need factoring in too. Belvedere Blast completes the shortlist.
