Course winner. Career best when winning 12-runner handicap hurdle at Limerick (20f, soft, 9/1) but faced a stiffer task from 7 lb higher in a stronger race latest. Dropped 1 lb but may need further leniency from the handicapper.

Confirmed previous promise when winning handicap at Roscommon (20.5f) in June. Not in anything like that form on his return at Naas (19.5f) last month but may well have needed the run that day and he is slowly coming back down the weights. Respected.

Lost his way at the end of last season and has fared little better in most recent outings, pulled up in handicap hurdle (80/1) at Limerick (24f, soft) in December before getting no further than the second hurdle at Gowran 54 days ago. Others preferred.

Course winner offered little after 6 months off when below form tenth of 20 in handicap hurdle at Cork (20f, good to soft, 33/1) 21 days ago. Feasibly treated but needs to step forward from comeback effort.

Inconsistent performer couldn't back up promise of his previous run when disappointing sixth of 11 in handicap chase at Gowran (16f, heavy) 33 days ago. Up in trip for return to smaller obstacles (racing off 12 lb lower mark over hurdles). Not dismissed if on a going day.

One of his better efforts over fences when fifth of 14 in handicap chase at Clonmel (23f, heavy) 42 days ago and that bodes well on his return to hurdles. Respected.

Ran poorly when twelfth of 16 in handicap hurdle at Gowran (20f, heavy, 50/1) 33 days ago. Difficult to fancy on the back of that effort.

Failed to come on for comeback run when bit below form seventh of 20 in handicap hurdle at Cork (20f, good to soft) 21 days ago. Slightly longer trip should be in her favour but needs to improve on recent efforts.

Entitled to step forward from his reappearance, WEST AWAY is feasibly treated on his best form and may be able to record a third hurdles success. My Friend The Wind ran one of his better races over fences last time and that bodes well on his return to hurdles, while Grange Walk merits respect from his significantly lower hurdles mark.
