Very smart chaser at best but not at the same level in 3 outings over hurdles this season, latest when well-beaten fourth of 6 to Gwennie May Boy in Rendlesham Hurdle at Haydock (24.3f, good to soft) 5 weeks ago. Will find this easier back in a handicap but needs to show more.

Useful form as a chaser last season, including a Grade 2 win, but rather lost his way over fences. Capitalised on falling mark back hurdling when winning at Doncaster in December and back to best returned to chasing when runner-up there (16.4f, good) 3 weeks ago. Claims reverted to timber.

Rather lost his way for Joseph Patrick O'Brien on the Flat and over hurdles last season, well beaten in the Galway Hurdle when last seen in August. Switched to Nicky Henderson since and could be worth chancing upped in trip provided he's ready to roll.

A useful 2m5f winning hurdler last term but failed to complete bot starts over the larger obstacles this season. Had too much use made of him back hurdling at Newbury (24.2f, soft) 6 weeks ago and the handicapper relinquishes his grip. Sean Bowen back on board.

Winning pointer who made a good start to his Rules career, winning 2m hurdles at this track (novice) and Doncaster (handicap) before Christmas. Another good run when second back in a novice at Catterick in January but wasn't up to the task back handicapping at Kelso (16.2f) since. Place claims.

Most consistent sort who produced another likeable display when second to a big improver in the Sussex Champion Hurdle at Plumpton 12 months ago. Successful at Goodwood and Sandown on the Flat last summer and he's respected back hurdling after 7 months off.

A three-time hurdle winner since joining Mark Walford but proving more miss than hit of late, no better than mid-field on his last 3 outings. Handicapper given him a chance as a result, but he needs to show more before becoming of interest.

A host in with chances but the vote goes to NUSRET, who rather lost his way for Joseph O'Brien but has gone well fresh in the past and now could be the time to catch him. Heading up the dangers is West To The Bridge, who proved he's still capable of useful form despite his veteran status when scoring at Wetherby last month and he remains well treated on the back of a 4 lb rise. The Olly Murphy-trained pair The Four Sixes and Thunder Rock can fight out third.
