Fair form in bumpers and matched that level when making the frame first 3 starts over hurdles. In tongue strap (now discarded), too free when well-beaten third in mares' handicap at Kempton (16f, soft) last time, but she could bounce back having had a wind op.

Placed on first 2 runs back from wind surgery and, back under less testing conditions with David Bass taking the ride, showed improved form when making all in handicap at Doncaster (19.4f, good) 3 weeks ago. Can make another bold bid.

Promise on first of 2 outings in bumpers and made a successful hurdling debut in mares' novice at this C&D (good) in November. Found things tougher under a penalty last 2 starts, but she could fare better now handicapping back at this venue with cheekpieces added.

Made a winning start over hurdles in mares' novice at Doncaster (19.4f, good) last season but that remains a standout effort, offering little on return when pulled up at the same course (24.4f, good to soft) in December. Cheekpieces now reached for.

Showed more than previously over hurdles when runner-up in maiden at Naas (18.9f, good to soft) in November, but not in the same form in handicap at Thurles (20.2f, good) last time. Watch for market clues as she makes first run since leaving James M. Barrett.

Back-to-back winner of 20.4f handicaps at Southwell (both on heavy) a year ago and hinted at a revival when third at the same course (24.3f, soft) 23 days ago, seeming stretched by the longer trip. On a dangerous mark if building on latest effort.

Made the frame on first of 2 starts in bumpers but little impact in maiden hurdles, well-beaten eleventh of 14 at Ffos Las (15.8f, heavy) on latest outing in November. Major improvement required as she goes up in trip for handicap debut.

Forecasts

Imperial Jade (10/11), Plantaroma (9/4), Our Pink Lady (7/1), Ebselysees (12/1), Mistral Blue (20/1), Lake's Aventurine (25/1), Make Sunshine (28/1)

14:18 Huntingdon - 12 March 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

IMPERIAL JADE got back on the up when recording a first handicap success at Doncaster 3 weeks ago, jumping accurately and making all, so she is taken to score again with conditions to suit. She can get the better of Plantaroma, who is worth another chance having had a breathing operation since last time, with Ebselysees the pick of the remainder.
