Maiden/novice hurdle winner who was only just denied on handicap bow at Huntingdon last term. Much better for return when fifth at Wincanton and this chasing type (runner-up in Irish point) needs considering.

Defied huge odds on the back of another stable switch when making a winning return in 9-runner Ffos Las handicap chase (21.5f) in December. However, ran no sort of race in follow-up bid when tailed-off last of 4 at Leicester (22.7f) 31 days ago. Steps up in trip now.

Lightly-raced bumper/hurdles winner who was clearly all the better for his return/chase debut run here when winning 8-runner Ffos Las handicap chase (19.4f) 2 weeks ago, knuckling down well to get up late. This trip expected to be within range and definite claims up 4 lb.

Done well since switched back to fences, landing 4-runner C&D handicap in November prior to following up at Doncaster (3¼m, good) later that month. Ran right up to best when second at Wincanton over Christmas and respected once more despite career-high mark.

Irish point winner who scored twice over hurdles in January 2023. Initially took well to fences last term but disappointing on the whole in 4 attempts this time around, including in cheekpieces (retained here) last 2 starts. Mark has eased further at least.

ALCEDO left his reappearance effort well behind when making his second chase start a winning one at Ffos Las 15 days ago, knuckling down well to edge ahead in the dying strides. Looking the type to progress further and still unexposed at this sort of trip, he looks to hold sound claims again from this 4 lb higher mark. C&D winner Stans The Man did well returned to this sphere late last year and he, along with chase debutant Largy Poet, can provide chief resistance.
