Bookended his novice campaign over hurdles with victories at Ayr and perfect start in this sphere when scoring at Wetherby on return. Checked out rather tamely at Cheltenham next time before taking a heavy fall at Newbury but latest third of 4 at Ayr was a step back in the right direction.

Took his form up a notch with cheekpieces enlisted last term, winning this race before bringing up the hat-trick over C&D final start. Disputing the lead when unseating rider 3 out at Wetherby on return but hasn't been in the same form since. No surprise if he bounced back in a change of headgear.
