Placed in a point but has offered little in a bumper and 2 novice hurdles under Rules.

Point winner who shaped well when second in bumper last February. Returned with a fair third on his 19f course hurdle debut after Christmas and open to progress now stepping up in trip with a tongue tie added.

10/3
Point winner who is a fair maiden hurdler. Found a Cheltenham maiden too strong on New Year's Day but should be a lot more competitive way from a big track.

Maiden Irish pointer. Second on Newcastle bumper debut in December rand made quite an encouraging start over hurdles when third in a 19f course novice last month. Up significantly in trip now. Should have more to offer.

More than hinted at ability when never-nearer sixth in 2m Sedgefield hurdle on debut. Steps up markedly in trip. Open to improvement but Frisby has to be considered the yard first string here unless the betting strongly suggests otherwise.

7/2
Prolific pointer who showed fairly useful form on first of two outings in hunters early last year. Has reverted to hurdles this term, performing well when fourth in 25f Warwick handicap in November but running a stinker at Lingfield since. Big shout on best form but latest effort raises doubts.

Forecasts

Frisby (6/4), The Clonmel Kid (11/4), Night Duty (10/3), Tigerbythetail (7/2), The Last Cloud (33/1), Border Queen (250/1), Arnie (250/1)

14:00 Catterick - 10 February 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

There was plenty to like about FRISBY's opening hurdle effort and perhaps he can improve past Tigerbythetail, who is the form choice but needs to shrug off a terrible run last time. Like the selection, The Clonmel Kid should also have more to offer after an encouraging hurdle debut.
