Boasts an excellent strike rate and won first 2 starts over fences, including over C&D on return. Good second in listed mares chase at Warwick last time and this bold jumper should go well again back in a handicap.

Reliable mare who resumed winning ways in 7-runner handicap chase at Warwick and backed that up when good fourth at Cheltenham. In the mix once more.

Built on promising Warwick chase debut when readily taking 6-runner handicap at Ludlow and followed up under a penalty with the minimum of fuss at Taunton (18.2f, good) last month. Disappointed in hat-trick bid at Ffos Las last week but better ground here should suit.

Opened her chasing account at Lingfield in February and has started this season well, runner-up at Warwick and Cheltenham last 2 starts, giving best only late on after another bold display from the front at latter course. Not discounted.

Hurdles winner who finally got off the mark over fences when taking advantage of reduced mark in clear-cut fashion over C&D on New Year's Day. Had a breathing operation prior to that win so may have turned the corner.

Dual 2m4f hurdles winner but yet to add to that over fences, often making mistakes. Others are preferred despite reducing mark.

Point winner who showed fair form when placed over hurdles. Decent start to chase career when third at Huntingdon and this C&D last 2 starts and she remains unexposed. Headgear on.

Easy winner of an Irish point and she made a winning chasing debut at Kelso in October. Backed it up with a very good second at Carlisle (2m4f) following month but struggled in a deeper race at Cheltenham since. Has had a breathing operation.

Bumper winner but mixed record over hurdles this season after 16 months off. Made a winning start to chase career in weak event over C&D but only fourth of 5 here since. This even tougher. Change of headgear.

Fair chaser who was back to form with a close third at Carlisle and not seen to best effect at Lingfield since. May find this a bit too competitive, however.

Belatedly opened her account at Hereford in May and has advanced her form this winter, scoring again there before good-placed efforts at Leicester and Cheltenham. Not out of things.

Forecasts

Telepathique (5/2), Getbazoutofhere (7/2), So Said I (17/2), Ostrava Du Berlais (9/1), Bolintlea (10/1), Gazette Bourgeoise (11/1), Moviddy (12/1), Melusine De Pail (14/1), Regal Renaissance (16/1), Micronormous (22/1), Similar Story (25/1)

15:20 Fakenham - 19 January 2025 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

OSTRAVA DU BERLAIS seemed to struggle on testing ground when bidding for the hat-trick at Ffos Las last week so is worth another chance back on a better surface. This does look competitive, though, with Telepathique and Gazette Bourgeoise heading the dangers.
