Fair maiden at best on Flat (stays 1¾m) but no real impact both hurdles starts this autumn. Back in trip having left Alan King.

Point winner who went backwards from a promising Rules debut when sixth of 10 in bumper at Worcester in June. Left David Pipe after and shaped like a stayer kept to 2m on hurdles debut a fortnight ago.

Out of a winning hurdler and showed a fair level of ability when reaching the frame at Ludlow and Hereford last autumn. Too free and well held when last seen in April and since changed yards ahead of this hurdles debut.

100/1
Bought for £58,000 after finishing runner-up sole start in Irish points but little to shout about both starts under Rules, carrying head awkwardly at Market Rasen.

Fair form in bumpers/over hurdles. In frame in maiden at Pau and juvenile at Auteuil in 2023/24. Well-held tenth of 16 behind Kirikou des Mers in 4-y-o event at Auteuil last time. Has left Patrice Quinton and usual cheekpieces/tongue tie left off for British debut.

Authorized gelding. Dam, 17f hurdle winner in France, sister to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 29f) Baie des Iles. Prominent in the betting but hung badly left throughout before running out on debut at Hereford. This will reveal more.

Purchased for £82,000 after finishing runner-up in an Irish point in February. Shaped as though in need of the run in a bumper at Cheltenham in October and more like it when fourth of 14 switched to hurdling at Ffos Las. Tongue tie on and there should be more to come.

Timeform
Disputing lead when falling late on sole start in points and had the race at his mercy when falling at the last at Bangor a month ago. Compensation may well await.

Maiden Irish pointer who offered little both starts under Rules.

Malinas gelding who is bred to stay very well and has shaped that way in a bumper/maiden hurdle so far.

Kayf Tara gelding who disappointed on his sole outing in bumpers but was in the process of showing more when falling 2 out on his Carlisle hurdling debut in October, keeping on for a share of third.

Forecasts

Oh My Johnny (8/11), Yhprum's Law (6/1), Ki Woo (6/1), Let Me Go Boys (13/2), Knead A Win (8/1), Unleash The Beast (25/1), Born In The West (28/1), Jack Hoola (100/1), Dante's Inferno (125/1), Alshadhian (200/1), Tottenham Green (250/1)

12:42 Uttoxeter - 10 December 2024 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

OH MY JOHNNY may well be 2 from 3 in his career had he negotiated the final obstacle correctly on a couple of occasions and he's take to make amends for Bangor here. Let Me Go Boys and Ki Woo could be the chief threats, though it will be interesting to see what Knead A Win can do going left-handed.
