Belvoir Cricket & Countryside Trust Novices' Handicap Chase

Showed ability in a bumper and 2 hurdles in the spring. Shaped as if needing the run at Sandown on return and no surprise to see him do better over fences given his physique/pedigree.

Winner of 2½m handicap hurdles in the mud at Uttoxeter and Doncaster last winter. Ended last season with a couple of poor efforts but made a promising first effort over fences when second at Stratford on return. Easy to forgive next start so not taken lightly.

Consistent rather than progressive over hurdles in 2022/23 but is an interesting runner returning from lay-off for bigger yard.

Regressive over hurdles and went with no encouragement sent chasing after 5 months off at Stratford. Headgear on.

Irish point winner who has shown little since shaping with some encouragement on his hurdling debut. Makes chase bow.

From good French family but tailed off in novice/maiden hurdles. Up in trip for handicap/chase debut.

Bettered hurdles form when runner-up both starts for this yard over fences, though was most irresolute under pressure. Has the ability to defy this sort of mark but is clearly risky,
