From a good jumps family and runner-up second (only completed) of 2 starts in points. Not knocked about on recent hurdles debut at Chepstow (2m, 14/1), looking one for the longer term.

Fairly useful on Flat (stays 1¼m), turned out again quickly when well below form last time. From the family of useful hurdler (stayed 3m) Zanjabeel, so hope for him now jumping. Likely type.

Fair form in novice/maiden hurdles last season, including over C&D. Handicaps over further will suit but returns in a winnable race and has place claims at the very least.

Didn't get home sent hurdling for new yard at Chepstow (2m), but had missed over a year since signing off a fairly useful Flat career for James Fanshawe and was better than the result. Entitled to improve and one to consider.

Close second to a useful sort in a newcomers race at Fontainebleau in March 2023 and more encouragement for this yard after 8 months off in 2m Uttoxeter maiden on return, considerately handled (reportedly had breathing problem). One to note.

Fair maiden on the Flat and showed some aptitude for hurdling at Worcester (2m) 3 months ago, mistake 2 out and fading.

Pulled up in point and little show in bumpers/maiden hurdle.

Useful stayer on the Flat for the Gosden stable. 65,000 gns purchase and presumably needed the run sent hurdling after 4 months off here recently, fading out of third last. Turned out quickly and capable of better.

Fairly useful handicapper on Flat (stays 10.5f), won at Ripon in August. Easy to back but in the process of showing some aptitude for hurdling when falling heavily 2 out at Uttoxeter 3 weeks ago.

€50,000 3-y-o, Soldier of Fortune mare. Dam 19f hurdle winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/very smart chaser (stayed 3m) Gold Present. Yard in form and get first time out winners so she's worth a market check.

Fair maiden at best on the Flat in Ireland (stays 1½m) and caught the eye making late gains from an impossible position sent hurdling after 8 weeks off at Exeter recently. Headgear back on.

From the family of Protektorat but little impact in 3 point bumpers (latest May 27).

14:12 Wincanton - 27 October 2024 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A trappy maiden that could go to TUXEDO JUNCTION, who shaped better than the result first time up over hurdles after 13 months off at Chepstow. Vaguely Royal is turned out quickly after a promising start in this sphere here last week and can improve also. Rangatira Jack, High Fibre and Karaktere d'Enfer complete the shortlist.
