Don't Miss The Newton Abbot Country Show Handicap Hurdle

Fairly useful over hurdles, lightly raced in recent years. Off 12 months. Others preferred.

Ran well back from 7 months off/wind surgery when third in the Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter in November but has struggled since.

Career best when winning 13-runner handicap hurdle (11/4) at Warwick (21f, good) 25 days ago, going with enthusiasm. Strong in the betting there and presumably hasn't finished improving, so another big run is on the cards.

Three-time C&D winner, latest almost a year ago. Last couple of hurdling efforts have been poor but not disgraced on the Flat recently and return to this course will suit.

Third hurdle success of his short career when returning from 6 months off to see off 16 rivals in a 2m Warwick handicap (heavy) in November. No show on both subsequent outings, however, leaving him with a bit to prove.

Fairly useful form at best in Ireland and, while below form when last seen 13 months ago, he's worth a market check starting out for a shrewd stable.

Smooth-traveller who added to his terrific course record when scoring cosily here 16 days ago. This should be run to suit and he's likely to be thereabouts once again.

Fair form on the Flat for William Knight and, having changed hands for 85,000 gns, he made the perfect start for new connections at Taunton in December. Jumped more accurately and easily got back to winning ways in a handicap at Hereford last time, so he's clearly the one to beat.

Authorized colt who made a promising start to his career when 9 lengths third of 10 to Salver in Exeter juvenile hurdle. Failed to back that up in France since and handicapper has taken no chances with opening mark.

Back to winning ways in this first-time headgear in 2m Catterick claiming hurdle in March (final start for Olly Murphy) but then ran poorly (pulled up) back in a handicap for new yard at Chepstow.

Struck at the second attempt over hurdles at Lingfield (2m, good) in February last year but has stopped quickly on both subsequent starts. Has had a short break prior to this and will be worth a market check back on a sounder surface.
