7/4
Night of Thunder colt who is bred to be smart and he made the perfect start when winning 9-runner maiden at Newcastle (6f) on debut 24 days ago, really getting the hang of things late on. Looks sure to progress and of interest now upped to 7f.

€70,000 yearling, Cracksman filly. Half-sister to 1m winner Bleuet. Dam winner up to 1m (2-y-o 7f winner) who stayed 1¼m, third in UAE Oaks. Probably best watched on debut unless market vibes proved particularly positive.

9/4
Very well-bred filly who, following a very encouraging second on debut, duly built on that effort to land 12-runner Windsor maiden (1m) 16 days ago, flashing tail early but digging deep to prevail. Represents leading yard and big player with the likelihood of more to come.

Night of Thunder gelding. Half-brother to useful winner up to 6f Story of Light. Dam, 2-y-o 8.6f winner, half-sister to high-class 7f-1¼m winner Nayyir. Wears hood for debut and his draw could have been kinder.

Exceed And Excel colt. Dam, German listed winner at 9f, closely related to St James's Palace Stakes winner Zafeen, also runner-up in 2000 Guineas. Interesting newcomer. Wears hood.

8/1
Exceed And Excel colt who was well supported but just found wanting for know-how at a crucial stage when third of 6 in maiden at Doncaster (7f, good to soft) on debut 34 days ago. Likely to have derived plenty from that effort and progress anticipated.

10/3
375,000 gns yearling, Kingman colt. Well backed but ultimately shaped as if needing the run when fourth of 8 in maiden behind Ambiente Friendly at Leicester (7f, good) on debut in September, effort 2f out and no extra final 1f. Likely he can do better as a 3-y-o.

72,000 gns foal, 90,000 gns yearling, Sea The Moon gelding. Dam, 1m/8.6f winner, half-sister to 2-y-o 1¼m winner (stayed 1¾m) Kipps and winner up to 1m Spangler (both useful). Makes appeal on paper but pedigree suggests he could be one for longer trips.

Twice-raced maiden. Seventh of 16 in minor event (2/1) at Chelmsford City (8f) 13 days ago, ridden under 3f out and not quicken. Should improve further but handicaps could well be more his bag.

Twice-raced maiden. 10/1, went backwards from debut effort when eleventh of 19 in minor event at Newbury (7f, good) 19 days ago, racing on the wing without cover offering mitigation. Another who remains likely to do better in due course.

Forecasts

Storm Star (7/4), Cat Ninja (9/4), Dosman (10/3), Coronado King (8/1), Brave Warrior (25/1), Apotheosis (28/1), Historic City (33/1), Caffu Zafeen (40/1), Night Lark (66/1), Grey Moon (66/1), Port Road (200/1), Argentali (200/1), Laguna Boy (200/1)

18:40 Kempton - 5 June 2024 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Despite flashing her tail early, CAT NINJA proved determined in the finish when opening her account at the second attempt in a Windsor maiden 16 days ago and with the drop back in trip not expected to inconvenience her, she looks a big player again with the prospect of more to come. There are several other likely improvers of interest also, headed up by Coronado King, Storm Star and Dosman.
