Completed a simple task with loads in hand when winning 6-runner minor event (2/9) at Southwell (12.1f) 33 days ago, unchallenged. Upped further in trip for his handicap bow (with cheekpieces added) and in excellent hands, he will go on improving. Leading claims.

4/9, has improved with each run and confirmed previous promise to get off the mark in 4-runner maiden at Salisbury (12f, heavy) 27 days ago, responding well. Likely to go on improving as his stamina is drawn out further, he could well feature on handicap debut.

Attracted support on his handicap bow after 6 months off but didn't give his running upped markedly in trip when last of 5 in handicap (9/2) at Wolverhampton (12.2f) just under 6 weeks ago. Needs to leave that effort well behind stepped up further in distance.

Hooded for 1st time, showed improved form to get off the mark when winning 7-runner handicap at Kempton (12f, 7/2) 31 days ago, seeming to relish the increased stamina test. Open to further improvement granted an even greater test.

15/8 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, probably didn't need to improve to get off the mark upped further in trip in 7-runner minor event at Thirsk (12f, good to firm) 2 weeks ago. Opening mark suffered a little for that, but he's open to further progress.

Took another big step forward to get off the mark with testing conditions evidently ideal for him in 5-runner handicap (5/2) at Salisbury (12f, heavy) 16 days ago, plenty in hand. Upped further in trip and will go on improving.

5/2, not in same for as first 2 starts on all-weather when third of 6 in minor event at Beverley (9.9f, good to soft) just over 5 weeks ago, leaving the impression he'd have benefited from setting a stronger gallop. Significantly up in trip. Makes handicap debut.

Winner at Ripon in April. Not disgraced when fourth of 8 on handicap debut at York (11.8f, good, 14/1) 16 days ago, despite looking short of pace on less testing ground. Up in trip. Not taken lightly.

Forecasts

Wild Waves (11/4), East India Dock (4/1), High Order (4/1), Ghostlore (6/1), Sam Hawkens (15/2), Tokyo Bay (9/1), Open Secret (12/1), Peace Walk (40/1)

18:15 Doncaster - 1 June 2024 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

HIGH ORDER is a colt firmly on the up, so John & Thady Gosden's charge gets the vote to make a winning start to life in handicaps before potentially heading to Royal Ascot later this month. Wild Waves seemed to relish the increased stamina test when scoring on his handicap bow at Kempton recently, so he's put forward as the main threat granted an even greater test, with East India Dock taken to edge out Ghostlore for third.
