Likeable sort who tasted success in handicaps at Leicester/Haydock at around this trip in December. Unable to cope with an entirely different environment in Timeform Novices' Handicap Chase at Cheltenham (20.6f, good to soft) in January and this a much more suitable assignment.

Has improved with each run for current yard and gained compensation for a late fall at Uttoxeter in January when bolting up over C&D (heavy) just over 3 weeks ago. Up 8 lb but looks sure to go well again given the manner of that success.

Dual winning hurdler back in 2021/22 and ran out a fortunate winner of what ended up a desperately weak race at Lingfield (20f, heavy) 24 days ago, though was at least revived to some extent by the fitting of first-time blinkers. 3 lb higher and more needed.

It was hard not to be impressed with THOR DE CERISY when scoring over C&D just over 3 weeks ago so Neil Mulholland's 10-y-o is fancied to make light of an 8 lb rise at the expense of Happy And Fine, who had his winning run ended faced with an entirely different test in the Timeform Novices' Handicap Chase at Cheltenham and can make his mark back in a small-field environment. Scene One looks best of the remainder.
