Began the campaign in fine form over hurdles and value for extra when landing cramped odds on chase debut at Ffos Las (19.4f, heavy), idling late on but always having matters in hand. 6 lb rise fair on that evidence and sound claims with improvement anticipated.

Didn't kick on from a promising start over hurdles but firm step back in right direction from tumbling mark when runner-up in a C&D handicap chase 37 days ago, despite failing to keep straight at his fences. Should be thereabouts from 1 lb higher mark with a repeat.

Shaped like a stayer upped in trip when sixth on 11 on Plumpton handicap hurdle debut/return in November. Proved to be a disappointment both outings since in that sphere, so switch to chasing needs to have positive effect now.

Fair hurdler/chaser in France but not a great deal of encouragement to glean from handful of starts for present stable, albeit faced with a stiff task from out of the weights when fourth at Wincanton (20f) 3 weeks ago.

Fair 2m hurdles winner for Dr Richard Newland in 2021. Largely struggled for present stable but did dispel a lesser effort when fifth of 13 in handicap chase at Taunton (18f) 31 days ago, staying on again late on. Return to this slightly longer trip a plus.

Shed maiden tag from basement mark at Wincanton (20f) last spring and ended last season with a good third at Warwick upped to 3m. Shaped as if needing run on return at Taunton and subsequent Wincanton run best excused (badly hampered 4 out). No forlorn hope.

CAST'S TASHA went through the race with plenty of zest and was ultimately value for extra when making a winning chase debut at Ffos Las 5 weeks ago and she could well be up to defying the handicapper with further progress distinctly possible. Bonza Boy, who finished a good second over C&D latest is a danger with a repeat, with My Rockstar another not out of things.
