Yet to get his head in front, but he's lightly-raced 4-y-o and it's surely a matter of time before he puts that right judged on his solid latest effort when fourth at Doncaster (20.8f, good), looking the winner's main threat for most of the straight. One to consider.

Found some improvement when opening his account on return here (2m, soft) in November. Back on track, again at this course, when finding just one too good last time and shapes as though well worth another try at this trip, so there's cause for optimism.

Has failed to go on from his encouraging hurdles debut second at Exeter in November 2022 but his latest effort was at least respectable and he's been eased 4 lb since. Worth a second look.

Won 21f Ludlow novice on debut for this yard in October 2021 but little to shout about since, well held when second in first-time cheekpieces (retained) in a seller here last time.

Fair maiden hurdler who proved he retains all his ability on the back of a 20-month absence when hitting the cossbar in a Lingfield handicap (2m, good to soft). Again performed with credit when third at Wincanton recently and should go well if his stamina holds out back up in trip here.

Won Warwick bumper in January for Tom Lacey. Disappointing in 4 hurdles since (last 3 for this yard), though, and hopes pinned on the combination of last month's wind op and the first-time tongue strap sparking improvement.

Landed a mares' handicap chase at Ludlow on final outing for Henry Oliver in May 2022. However, she hasn't shown much in 3 starts for this yard since returning from 14 months off and hard to know what to expect of her back hurdling here.

Runner-up in a juvenile hurdle on debut/sole start for previous connections in France. Well held all 3 subsequent appearances on this side of the Channel but has undergone a wind op and may be seen in a better light now upped in trip for this handicap debut.

Modest in bumpers and similar standard over hurdles, failing to improve for the switch to handicap company at Wincanton last time. Needs to raise his game now upped in trip.

Notched third chase success at Fontwell last April but well held on return here last month and, having shown little on his 5 previous starts in this sphere, it's probably best to look elsewhere.

It may be worth chancing KING OF LOMBARDY, who has failed to build on his hurdles debut promise in five subsequent starts but he's now 13 lb lower than when making his handicap bow last spring and there were positives to glean from his latest effort at Taunton. Birdman Bob has to be feared on the back of a solid effort here last time and he rates the main danger ahead of Nickelforce and One Last Glance.
