Didn't need to be at best when winning selling hurdle at Stratford (19f, heavy) in November and has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in claiming events on his next 2 starts. More severe headgear enlisted, and this looks a good opportunity if keeping his quirks in check.

Down the field in bumpers (hinted at temperament last time) so will need to leave that well behind now hurdling.

Bred to make a jumper and has shown ability in bumpers. Will probably have to settle for minor honours here making his hurdling debut for a new yard after 15 months off with a tongue tie applied.

Remains a maiden after 10 hurdle runs, although likely to have bucked that trend had he not fallen in a class 5 handicap at Lingfield (16f, good to soft) just over 8 weeks ago. In the mix provided first-time cheekpieces have the desired effect.

Modest Flat winner who showed similar form when third in 2m maiden/novice hurdles at Worcester during the summer. However, he was the first in trouble switched to handicap company on return at Hereford earlier this month so it's tough to know what to expect.

Fair performer at best but has looked badly out of sorts recently so he's hard to make a case for. Hopes pinned on more severe headgear doing the trick.

Hard to warm to based on what she's shown in a bumper and 2 novice hurdles.

Just one effort of note on the level in Ireland and she hasn't cut much ice in 4 starts over hurdles so far. Well held on recent Flat spin earlier this month so she's very tough to support back in cheekpieces.

Arcadio mare who is bred to stay well and shaped with some encouragement when fourth of 11 in bumper at Musselburgh (15.6f, good to soft) last March. Makes hurdles debut and market likely to be a decent guide as to what's expected.

Several of these arrive out of sorts which is something that can't be said for IDDERGEM, who got off the mark at Stratford in November and has somehow managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on both subsequent outings. First-time blinkers replace the cheekpieces and he can get the better of Mi Sueno, who probably would have won if not for departing late on at Lingfield a couple of months ago. Tip Top Tonto can fill out third.
