Latest win at Lingfield in August. 28/1, below form when seventh of 11 in handicap at Southwell (6.1f) just over 2 weeks ago. Needs to bounce back quickly.

Course winner. 25/1, shaped quite well under a considerate ride on first outing since leaving Ed Walker (sold 12,000 gns) after 4 months off when sixth of 12 in handicap at this C&D 4 weeks ago. Likely to be better for the run, so he's one to look out for.

Three wins from 14 runs last year, latest at Leicester in September. Looked a hard ride when last of 12 in handicap at this C&D (100/1) 4 weeks ago so has plenty to prove.

10/1, ran best race on handicap debut though possibly found a near 7 month absence telling in the end when sixth of 11 at Kempton (7f) 31 days ago. Makes tapeta debut.

Latest win at Ayr in September. Well held at Newcastle (7.1f, 9/2) last month, his rider reporting he moved poorly (lost left-fore shoe). Will need to leave that effort well behind.

Course winner in October. 12/1, respectable third of 11 in handicap at this C&D 40 days ago, helped by being held up in strongly-run race. Looks competitive on form.

Three wins from 18 runs last year. 14/1, firmly got back on track when second of 12 in handicap at Southwell (7.1f) just over 3 weeks ago, finishing well. Has to be taken seriously.

7/2, creditable third of 10 in handicap at Lingfield (7f, AW) 31 days ago. In good form so impossible to dismiss.

14/1, last of 10 on handicap debut at Deauville (7.4f) 12 months ago. First run for yard after leaving A. Fabre (£7,000) and has been gelded. Interesting to see how he fares in the market.

This can go the way of NOVAK, who got firmly back on track when finishing runner-up at Southwell just over 3 weeks ago and Iain Jardine's 5-y-o looks good to go a place better back sprinting. His main threat may come from Bright, who made a good start to life in handicaps when third over C&D last month, with the consistent Grenham Bay and Golden Passport another couple to consider.
