Byerley Stud Mares' Novices' Hurdle (Listed) (GBB Race)

Poor form in a couple of Irish bumpers (remote fourth second occasion). Pitched in at the deep end on her hurdle debut for a new stable.

Narrowly denied by the reopposing Larchmont Lass in a Sandown listed bumper last season and has taken really well to hurdling, winning mares maiden at Market Rasen and novice at Hereford (both 2m, good). Likely has more to come.

Built on her debut promise when landing 2m juvenile at Hereford (heavy) in January. First start since when second of 14 in 19f handicap here 6 weeks ago. More will be needed at this level but she's open to further progress.

Useful form in bumpers, including a Sandown listed win in March. Beaten 24 lengths when second on her C&D hurdle debut but that bumper ability suggests she can do a lot better in this sphere. Her top stable has won this 4 times since 2014.

Won junior events at Wetherby and Hereford last term. A little below that level when a beaten favourite in 2 handicap starts this season (well-held second latterly) and likely vulnerable in this company.

Listed bumper winner for Oliver Sherwood who is a perfect 2-2 over hurdles, latterly well on top at the finish in 2m Kempton novice on her first outing for Harry Derham. Likely has more to give for her new trainer and the one to beat.
