10/3
Well backed and showed much improved form to get off the mark in 9-runner juvenile hurdle (13/2) at Hexham (16.2f, soft) in April, edging ahead run-in and ridden out. Ought to go well under a penalty.

Found improvement back from a 5-month absence in a first-time tongue strap when winning Kilbeggan bumper in August. Since joined new yard and could be a player on switch to hurdling.

Fair maiden on Flat (stays 1½m) who failed to meet expectations back from 5 months off when last of 6 in a Windsor handicap (10f) in May. Acquired by new yard for 9,500 gns thereafter and needs monitoring in the market for clues ahead of hurdle bow.

Made it 2 wins from 4 starts in bumpers with an improved effort at Ludlow in April, leading on bridle entering straight and sealing it in a matter of strides. Stable in red-hot form and makes obvious appeal on hurdle debut.

Showed only poor form in bumpers so not hard to look elsewhere on hurdle debut.

Forecasts

Norman Fletcher (1/4), Eagle Of The Glen (10/3), Largy Ray (14/1), Jean Danjou (150/1), Solid As A Rock (150/1)

14:38 Huntingdon - 17 October 2023 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

EAGLE OF THE GLEN saw the form of his Hexham win franked by the third when that one came out and made a successful handicap debut in good style at Kelso recently, so he's taken to defy a penalty at the expense of Norman Fletcher, who struck twice in bumpers last season and seems sure to win his fair share of races over hurdles.
