Some encouragement in all 4 starts over hurdles at the start of the year (for Richard Hughes) and decent third on hurdles return at Newton Abbot. Return to further will suit and potentially well treated on Flat form.

Disappointed on chase debut in May but improved when second over hurdles on final outing for Margaret Mullins. Low-key start for this yard in handicap chase at Cartmel (21.2f, soft) but much better back over hurdles when second in novice at Kelso.

Winner here in November. Back to form when fourth at Bangor final start. Headgear left off on return.

Fair maiden hurdler for Gordon Elliott and best effort for current yard when fourth of 9 in novice hurdle at this C&D (good to soft) 8 days ago. Tongue strap/cheekpieces on 1st time. Others more persuasive.

Right back on track to capitalise on a handy mark with something to spare at Market Rasen in August and good placed efforts later that month. Player.

Struck twice last autumn but out of sorts this campaign. Others preferred.

Belatedly opened chase account at the twelfth time of asking in December. Only come close to giving his running once since, however.

Yet to win a race but shaped well a couple of times over hurdles. Didn't take to chasing and back over timber now for new yard (sold from Dan Skelton £5,500 in August).

Showed further improvement on third start in handicaps when landing 7-runner handicap here (21f) in January, staying on to lead final 50 yds. Did best of those held up when third at Ayr final start and remains of interest ahead of return.

Left Dan Skelton on the cheap and well held both starts for this yard.

Returned to form when second in selling hurdle at Hexham (16.2f, good to soft) and decent third here on return last week. Looks competitive on form.

Point winner who has yet to trouble the judge under Rules and it's easy enough to look elsewhere.

PRINCE IMPERIAL was unsuited by the emphasis on speed on his return to this sphere at Newton Abbot and is worth another chance off what remains a tempting mark given his useful form on the Flat. The progressive Zwicky is feared most ahead of Spot On Soph.
