Won twice at up to 23f last season but he was pulled up at Market Rasen in May and again performed poorly back from a break last month. Probably best watched for now, for all that he would be very dangerous if able to bounce back here with a soft lead likely.

Successful 3 times over hurdles during 2022 and sprouted wings over fences at the start of the summer, completing a hat-trick at Bangor. Creditable third on second start back in this sphere at Warwick (2¾ lengths to find with the re-opposing runner-up there, Edison Kent). Couldn't rule out.

Won a 3m handicap hurdle at Ascot in November and made a successful switch to fences at Doncaster before excellent third in North Wales National at Bangor. Respectable third returned to this sphere at Stratford (26.4f, soft) when last seen in April and big chance here, provided he's fully tuned-up.

Little impact on first 4 starts over hurdles but, in first-time tongue tie, showed much improved form when winning handicap upped to 3m at Taunton in March. However, he was beaten a long way at Warwick next time and needs to get back on track here following a break.

In what looks like a pretty trappy affair, THE QUESTIONER could be the answer. He didn't go on as hoped following a promising start over fences last season but he's profile in this sphere is a largely progressive one and he resumes on a manageable mark (just 1 lb higher than for his chase debut success at Doncaster in January). Edison Kent holds Pottlerath based on their recent meeting at Warwick and he is feared most ahead of the in-form but up-in-the-weights Blue Sans.
