Simon & Ed Crisford are 4-17 with their juveniles on turf so far this term, so without the benefit of market clues PEN PORTRAIT, who makes appeal on paper, could be the way to go in a race where those with previous experience don't set a tall standard. That said, Midnite Storm deserved his Doncaster debut run marking up and he's highly likely to improve. Apocalyx and Arantes Nascimento are another couple of newcomers to note.
