Smart gelding who was third in Group 2 Challenge at Newmarket on his final run last season. Well beaten in Dubai in January but right back to form after 6 months off when fourth in Chester listed event (7f) in July. Likeable type but little margin for error from this mark.

Successful 3 times last season and right back to his best when landing a Chester handicap (7.6f) in May. Struggled in Group 3 company next time and he again struggled to make an impact from career-hgh mark at Haydock (7f) 33 days ago. Others appeal more.

Tremendous servant to connections (Queen Anne winner in his prime) and he ran respectably when fifth in Bunbury Cup on his latest start in July, forced to switch 1f out and running on. Handicapper has relinquished his grip if he can build on that.

Found ease in weights/drop in grade liberating and bounced back to best when landing share of the spoils at Doncaster (7f, soft) 3 weeks ago. 2 lb rise looks fair and no surprise to see him go well again.

Winless for present yard but better than bare form figures suggest in recent months, again not seen to best effect in the International handicap (7f) at Ascot 12 days ago. Connections now opt for a visor from further reduced mark and he's not one to write off.

Went well for a long way in the Britannia at the Royal Meeting and confirmed as much when posting career-best effort to score at Haydock (7f) on penultimate start in July. Creditable ninth in International handicap (7f) latest and he's fancied to continue in form.

Bagged a couple of AW handicaps since the turn of the year and having been ridden too aggressively in the Victoria Cup, he returned to form when second at Newcastle (7f) early on last month. Easy to back and ran below form ay York since and others make greater appeal.

Bounced back to best in refitted blinkers/tongue tie when landing 5-runner Newmarket handicap (7f) in June and he comes here having again ran well when runner-up to Farhh To Shy at Yarmouth (7f) 2 weeks ago. Good-value claimer takes off handy 5 lb here.

Losing run is mounting up but gave the impression he's on his way back when finishing good fifth in International handicap (7f) at Ascot 12 days ago, running on late. Eased further 3 lb ahead of this and he could just be worth siding with to build on that now.

Right back on track in refitted hood of late, impressing with how he travelled when getting to better of another in-form sort at Ascot (7f) 13 days ago. Remains pretty low-mileage as a 4-y-o and no surprise where he capable of rating higher still.

Regular in big field handicaps in Ireland, ending last term with success in 19-runner event at the Curragh (1m). Good efforts on 3 of last 4 starts, noted finishing with running left (met trouble) when midfield in 18-runner Galway handicap (8.6f) 9 days ago. Interesting.

Dual 6f winner for Julie Camacho who has gradually worked his way back to form for present yard this year, cashing in on reduced mark at York (7f) 2 weeks ago. Little bit more needed if he's to follow up on these revised terms, however.

FOOLS RUSH IN dropped his biggest hint yet this year that he's coming to the boil when running on late for fifth in the International at Ascot last month and, having been cut further slack by the assessor, he could just be ready to strike with forecast conditions holding no fears. Last-time-out winners Pearle d'Or and Atrium head up the dangers, with Saxon King another who can dispel a slightly lesser display at Newmarket 19 days ago.
