10/3
6/4, fifth of 8 in handicap at Lingfield (7f, AW) when last seen in January. String of decent efforts in nurseries prior to that, including when runner-up on latest start on turf at Ffos Las last August, but shade more needed in order to open his account here.

11/2
Course winner. Below form ninth of 16 in handicap (50/1) at Newmarket (7f, good) 11 days ago (first run since being gelded), left poorly placed. Cheekpieces on 1st time and, now 2 lb below his last winning mark, couldn't rule out.

9/1 and blinkered for 1st time, creditable third of 6 in handicap at Leicester (7f, heavy) 17 days ago, slowly away. Each-way shout, provided she proved equally effective under completely different conditions here.

Lightly-raced winner. Successful at Kempton in November. 9/1, last of 11 in nursery at Lingfield (7f, AW) in final 2-y-o start. Yard saddles a more appealing candidate in Threebars.

10/3, creditable third of 10 in handicap at Yarmouth (8f, heavy) 45 days ago. Record stands at 0-8 but he's another that should be in the mix if coping with the faster ground.

Remains a maiden after 16 Flat runs. Second of 13 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f, 20/1) 5 days ago, having run of race. Definite chance off the same mark if able to reproduce that level of form back on turf.

8/1, good second of 13 in handicap at Bath (8f, good to firm) 13 days ago. Deserves to get her head in front and obvious claims of doing so off the same mark here, with 7 lb claimer Tyrese Cameron again in the saddle.

Forecasts

Threebars (10/3), Geralt Of Rivia (10/3), Deed Pole (9/2), Mister X (11/2), Storyinthesand (15/2), Film Star (10/1), Grand Central (10/1), Lady Amanda (20/1)

16:40 Brighton - 30 May 2023 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

This represents a good opportunity for THREEBARS, who produced her best effort yet when going close over a mile at Bath where she left the impression that dropping back to this trip would be a good thing. Mister X was a winner of his sole previous start here in a nursery last September and he could prove most troublesome, if responding well to the first-time cheekpieces. Provided they both handle conditions, Deed Pole and Storyinthesand should also be involved.
