FBC Manby Bowdler Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race) (Div 1)

Fair maiden over hurdles (twice placed during 2021/22). Has failed to complete over fences the last twice, unseating in soft fashion early at Ludlow last week. Respected back hurdling in first-time headgear.

Signs of ability but might be one for the longer term/handicaps over jumps.

In the frame on all 3 bumper starts and made a sound start to his hurdle career when fourth of 12 in maiden at Chepstow in February. Not so good at Kempton 10 weeks on but remains with potential.

Half-brother to 7 winners, including smart hurdler/top-class chaser Dodging Bullets. Fair in bumpers but didn't get very far on hurdling debut at Bangor in October, albeit departing through no fault of his own (later found to be lame). Could do better.

Fair maiden on the Flat (stays 1m, ran poorly last week). Well held on hurdles debut at Worcester in March and not a guaranteed stayer. Tongue tie goes on.

Half-sister to fairly useful hurdler and better effort in bumpers here first time up 11 months ago. Work to do now hurdling.

Modest form in bumpers, again ran below the level of debut at Market Rasen last time. Hurdles debut.

Great Pretender mare. Half-sister to fairly useful hurdler Thibault and fair 2½m hurdle winner Rapaport. Makes some appeal on paper and starts out in a thin maiden. Has had wind op.

From the family of smart hurdler/useful chaser (2m-21f winner) Quazar. Modest handicapper on Flat (stays 11f), not disgraced last time.
