Eastbury Hotel Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race) (Div 1)

Modest on the Flat (stays 2m) and showed a bit on hurdling bow despite finishing well held in a Chepstow novice (2m) in October. Failed to improve having been held back by mistakes at Taunton a month later.

Just denied in bumper at Thurles for John Kiely last spring. Disappointing in that sphere for this yard but did at least show more when fourth on hurdles debut at Ludlow last month. Could be the way to go.

Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler College Oak. Dam, bumper winner, half-sister to triple Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Best Mate. Unplaced all 3 starts in Irish points but prominent in the betting prior to finishing third of 6 at Fontwell (19.2f) on hurdles bow recently. Respected down in trip.

Limited impact from a modest mark in handicaps of late but this isn't a deep race back in maiden company. Blinkers replace cheekpieces.

Bumper run wasn't devoid of promise but looks a handicap project over hurdles. That said, this isn't a strong race so worth a look in the betting given connections.

Underwent a breathing op after pulling up in a bumper and did at least hint at ability on last month's hurdles bow here.

Easy to back and shaped as though she'd come on for the experience when fifth in 6-runner Huntingdon bumper on debut last month. Turned out quickly and still didn't look the finished article when fifth of 9 switched to hurdling.

Well held completed start over hurdles.

Soldier of Fortune mare. Closely related to fairly useful hurdler General Mahler, and half-sister to 2 winners, including fairly useful hurdle winner/chaser Roll The Dough. Given a considerate introduction over C&D 3 weeks ago and should come on for that.
