Off the mark in this sphere over C&D in November and doubled chase tally with a game performance at Southwell (15.8f, soft) 3 weeks ago. 5 lb rise tolerable and moving back up in trip won't be a problem, so there is plenty of cause for optimism.

Looked a good staying prospect when scoring on debut over hurdles in a Southwell novice in December 2021. Failed to land a blow starting out in this sphere at Ludlow (2½m, good to soft) recently but he looks a real chasing type and should do better in time.

It's probably best not to read too much into NORLEY's rather low-key chase debut here during the autumn, and he is appealing back in this sphere off a lower mark than that off which he scored in good style over hurdles at Ludlow last week. Assuming that Great Heart'jac doesn't go to post (due to run at Market Rasen on Sunday) and with Charles Ritz likely to need a stiffer test, Maninsane is second choice ahead of Cartonne.
