Imposing sort who looked a strong stayer when making a winning debut for new yard at Chepstow in October. Followed up under a penalty at Carlisle last month but conceding weight all round here asks another question of him.

Belied odds of 16/1 when making a successful start at Newcastle a year ago. Off 11 months and another excellent effort when ½-length second of 9 to Bullets Hill in bumper at Carlisle, sticking to his task.

Ran to a high figure when a close-up second in debut at Haydock in December and he didn't need to match that form to land the odds at Ayr a fortnight ago. Had plenty in hand on that occasion and he could be useful.

Got on top close home when making a winning debut in a 4-runner Fontwell bumper (13.7f) last spring, shaping as though a stiffer test would be welcomed. Off 11 months after but improved a lot in form terms when second under a penalty at Doncaster in February. That puts him firmly in the mix.

Runner-up sole start in points and filled same spot in bumpers at Chepstow/Doncaster prior to getting it right at Wincanton 16 days ago. Bare form nothing out of the ordinary but he represents a leading yard.

Maiden Irish pointer but confirmed the encouragement of his Rules debut when landing a bumper at Sedgefield in January. Rider cannot claim this time and this demands more.

Brought down on debut here in November but showed what he can do with a brace of placed efforts since. Still doesn't look the finished article and has no margin for error in this company.

Hit the frame both starts in bumpers but that level well short of what's required here.

Half-brother to 3 winners and showed plenty when runner-up at Aintree on debut in November 2021. Merely matched that form both starts since (8 months apart) at Ayr,

Strong in the betting and reacted well to a positive ride when second of 11 at Ayr last month. Flattered by proximity to winner that day but that effort puts him in the picture.

Fifth of 8 in bumper (28/1) at Newcastle (16.2f, soft) on NH debut 128 days ago, travelling as well as any. Should strip fitter for that but this is an uphill task.

From quite a good family and she saw off a couple of well-touted newcomers when making second start at winning one at Newcastle on Boxing Day. Off since but she's entitled to respect.

Made a successful start at Catterick but unable to defy a penalty at Haydock over Christmas. Took a strong hold on that occasion and fitted with a hood at Ayr, she could manage only fifth.

Improved his finishing position by one each start, landing the odds despite an awkward head carriage at Catterick last month. Receives weight all round but this is a far deeper race.

Isenay (7/2), Go West (9/2), Coniston George (11/2), Tedtwo (7/1), Bullets Hill (8/1), Bertie's Ballet (17/2), Blue Baloo (16/1), Idem (18/1), Raffles Wonder (18/1), Balcomie Breeze (20/1), Cuban Court (20/1), You Some Girl (25/1), Both Barrels (66/1), Looking Splendid (200/1)

17:20 Kelso - 25 March 2023 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A good-quality bumper with CONISTON GEORGE just about the most persuasive option having run to a very high figure on debut and he's since scored with plenty in hand at Ayr. Cuban Court, Isenay and Bullets Hill are just a trio of potential threats.
