Fair form in 2 starts on the Flat and built on his hurdles debut second at Compiegne when going one better in ready fashion at Taunton (19f) last month. Unlucky to run into a smart prospect at Sandown and far from disgraced turned out again quickly at Ascot since. Solid claims under a penalty.

Modest form in 2 bumpers nearly 2 years apart but much better signs over hurdles, confirming his debut promise when landing 2m novice at Warwick 12 days ago, edging ahead again on line having dictated. Will be suited by 2½m and open to further improvement.

Milan gelding. Dam, 2m hurdle winner. Off the mark in Irish points at second attempt and justified support starting out under Rules in 6-runner maiden at Fontwell (17.7f, soft) 16 days ago, responding well. Sure to stay 2½m and open to improvement.

Runner-up on sole outing in bumpers for Stuart Crawford and showed a good attitude to go one better on hurdling debut after 23 months off at Exeter in February, staying on to lead close home. He's presumably not the easiest to train but is open to improvement nonetheless.

Won his only start in Irish points and was strong in the betting ahead of his Rules debut at Ffos Las in December but shaped as if amiss (found to have bled from the nose). Clearly thought capable of better.

Off the mark at the fifth time of asking in Irish points in November but looked one for the longer term under Rules when well held at Taunton 11 days ago.

Made little appeal on paper and offered little in bumper at Exeter on New Year's Day.

Useful staying handicapper on Flat and ran best race over hurdles when beaten only by a useful prospect in a Chepstow novice in December. Not in anything like the same form at Cheltenham last time but had a hopeless task from his position at Taunton last time.

£28,000 6-y-o, Jet Away gelding. Dam (b93) bumper winner. Off mark in Irish points at second attempt (Apr 2022). Has had a breathing operation ahead of Rules debut.

Well-made gelding who was progressive in bumpers without managing to win one. Has yet to match that form in 3 runs over hurdles, though caught the eye finishing with running left under considerate handling at Taunton (19f) last time. Remains with potential. Had breathing op.

Martaline gelding. Half-brother to 5 winners, including fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser in France Rasango, stays 23f. Shaped as if better for the run when seventh of 13 in a maiden hurdle at Ffos Las on debut 19 days ago, not knocked about. Entitled to do better.

ILIKO D'OLIVATE wasn't disgraced in quite a hot novice at Ascot last month, especially considering how quickly he was turned out after a hardish race at Sandown, so he's well worth another chance to get back on the up. The Carpenter showed a good attitude to prevail on his hurdling debut/return at Exeter and is open to improvement, as is Fontwell-scorer Sound And Fury, who promises to be suited by this longer trip.
