Bred to be good on the Flat but has made his mark over hurdles for new yard, granted a soft lead as he struck for a second time at Kelso 3 weeks ago. Will need to improve to defy this sort of mark now handicapping in a stronger race.

Fair Flat winner who has taken well to hurdling, winning juveniles at Cartmel and Catterick. Good second in 2m listed event here last month but stiff task in Kempton Grade 2 latest, again taking strong hold, and work to do now handicapping.

Fairly useful maiden on the Flat and quickly reached a similar level over hurdles with victory back from a break in 2m listed contest here on New Year's Day. Not so good twice since though and cheekpieces (ran well in them on the level) reached for.

Fair Flat winner and off the mark over hurdles at the third attempt at Sedgefield in January. Better efforts in defeat since (latest Haydock second looks good form) and fit from an eye-catching spin on the level. Looks professional for a juvenile hurdler and a big run might be on the cards.

Has plenty of experience over hurdles (scored at Wetherby over Christmas), but proving rather inconsistent, held in third in thin handicap at Sandown a fortnight ago. Tongue strap back on but looks vulnerable.

Fair maiden on Flat who ran out an easy winner of thin 2m contest here in December. Not disgraced behind Planet Legend at Kelso 3 weeks ago but more on his plate back in a handicap now.

Dominated a small field (Highland Frolic second) when winning early-season Wetherby event in first-time cheekpieces in October and little impact since (on the level latest). Hard to fancy.

Modest maiden at best on the Flat but left previous hurdling efforts behind when landing a course juvenile at 66/1 in November. Stacks more needed now handicapping 4 months on.

Speedy type who is fairly useful on the Flat and has made a good start over hurdles, staying on but no match for promising winner in Doncaster maiden 6 weeks ago. Looks well-in on that form now handicapping and should be suited by the demands of this track. Lots to like.

Winner of 11f Southwell novice on the level for Sir Mark Prescott last year and placed all 3 starts over hurdles for new yard, although jumping none too fluently when well backed and second in receipt of a 4-y-o allowance in open Doncaster handicap 3 weeks ago. Could do better.

Fair form on the Flat in France at up to 1½m. Offered a lot more on third run over hurdles for this yard behind Planet Legend at Kelso recently, not knocked about but looking ungainly. Could be on a good mark switched to handicaps.

RING OF BEARA's BHA mark of 104 was surprisingly left unchanged after his good run at Doncaster, and with that form looking solid, there is plenty to like about his chances now handicapping on a track that should be ideal. Cianciana has made a good start over hurdles herself and could also be ahead of the handicapper. Duyfken and Pretending are a couple of others to note in a race where the betting will be revealing.
