Made fairly encouraging start in Newcastle bumper in December but has offered very little on both outings over hurdles since.

Successful on his only outing in Irish points and improved on his hurdling debut form after 12 weeks off when third of 9 at Ayr (20.4f) last month. Tongue strap applied and he has major claims being open to further progress.

Fairly useful bumper winner who shaped with some promise when third of 6 on his Kelso hurdling debut (16.2f) last month, losing ground when pecking on landing 2 out. Sure to have learnt from that and makes appeal in a weak race.

5/2
Down the field in bumper at Ayr on debut but offered a lot more when third in pair of novice hurdles there since. One for the shortlist for in-form yard.

7/1
Winning pointer who failed to justify short-priced favouritism fitted with cheekpieces when fourth in a Clonmel hunter in January. Has since left Gordon Elliott (£18,000) and could have more to offer on his first start over hurdles.

Timeform
Well held in bumper/maiden hurdle at Ayr this year so makes little appeal this side of handicaps.

50/1
Just modest form at best in bumpers so improvement needed to play a leading role on hurdle debut.

Tailed off in pair of bumpers 9 months apart so easy to look elsewhere on hurdles bow.
|
Timeform
Down the field in pair of bumpers in recent months so will need to leave those efforts behind now hurdling.

Haveanothergoflo (6/4), Monochromix (5/2), Kingston Bridge (7/2), Wearelongterm (7/1), Ballin Bay (14/1), Bollin Matilda (16/1), Monteplex (50/1), Brasingaman Bella (66/1), Parelli Power (250/1)

14:25 Carlisle - 19 March 2023 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

HAVEANOTHERGOFLO was still green but took a big step forward from his hurdling debut effort when third at Ayr last month. With further progress on the cards and the application of a first-time tongue tie, Donald McCain's charge gets the nod. Monochromix has shaped promisingly in a couple of novice hurdles so he could emerge as the main threat, with Wearelongterm and Kingston Bridge another couple worth noting.
