Fairly useful hurdler for Philip Hobbs who scored over fences on his yard debut at Newton Abbot (25.8f, good to soft) in October. Well held both starts since, though, including back over hurdles last time, and tongue strap applied now returned to chasing.

9/4
Runner-up on chase debut at Hereford in February 2021 and performed with credit when fourth of 10 back from a lengthy absence at Exeter (24.2f, heavy) on New Year's Day. Potentially well-handicapped if able to build on that.

Big improver in handicap hurdles in 2021, winning at Taunton and this course in the space of a week. Shaped as though ability remains intact back from 19 months off on chase debut at Uttoxeter but recently failed to complete at Exeter.

11/10
Winner of sole start between the flags and winner of first 2 starts in this sphere. Creditable efforts in defeat the last twice, latterly going down narrowly at Huntingdon (2½m, good to soft), and open to improvement back up in trip here in a first-time visor.

Forecasts

Ozzie Man (11/10), A Time To Shine (9/4), Windance (11/2), Potters Venture (13/2), Ripper Roo (8/1)

15:00 Fontwell - 6 February 2023 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

While there is a bit of room for improvement in the jumping department, OZZIE MAN hasn't done much wrong since switched to fences and he shaped as though moving back up in trip would be very much in his favour when narrowly outpointed over 2½m at Huntingdon last week. He gets the nod ahead of A Time To Shine, who will be a big threat if able to build on his comeback effort. Windance is probably best of the rest, albeit as a result of a process of elimination rather than a vote of confidence.
