Made his first venture into veterans' company a winning one when seeing off 9 rivals at Warwick (3m, soft) on his reappearance in November. Well on top at the finish on that occasion and this one-time really smart performer could still be well treated after a 6 lb rise.

Missed all of last season but did shape as if retaining ability for his new stable when seventh of 10 at Haydock in November. Second in this off 6 lb higher 2 years ago. Certainly no surprise were he to go well.

Proved some sight over the National fences when winning the 2021 Becher Chase. Went well for a long way in this year's renewal of that race on what was effectively her reappearance. May come on for the outing. Not discounted.

Capitalised on reduced mark to land back-to-back staying handicap hurdle contests early last year. Has recorded 2 creditable placed efforts belatedly returned to fences this term and this trip will suit him better than the 2½m he ran over at Cheltenham last time. Considered.

Welsh National winner in 2018. Proved he retains a useful level of ability when ending last term with success in a veterans' event at Ascot (3m) but his 2 runs this season have been disappointing.

Better than ever last season partnered with Lucy Turner, completing the hat-trick (his fourth success from 6 starts) when landing the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival in March. Ran poorly in a Haydock veterans' event on his reappearance but he isn't the type to stay down for long.

Won veterans' event at Aintree last autumn. Reappeared to finish second in that same race in October. Well held in a 2½m handicap there 6 weeks ago but he may do better back in veterans' company.

Better than ever this spring, rattling off a quick-fire hat-trick in decisive fashion at Market Rasen (3m) in May. Had Ballyandy behind in third when runner-up in a veterans' event at Cheltenham (2½m) in November and might be worth forgiving him a lesser effort in open company back there since.

Has drawn a blank since a 3m Kelso listed success in February 2020. Off 5 months, behind a couple of these when fifth in 2½m Cheltenham veterans' event in November but he could be sharper with that outing under his belt.

Won this race off an identical mark 12 months ago. Has recorded a couple of respectable efforts over hurdles this season and has presumably been targeted at this again. Cheekpieces refitted. Could make a bold bid to defend his crown.

Landed a good pot at Chepstow last October before finishing third in the Classic Chase at Warwick and a Doncaster veterans' handicap. Off 8 months, shaped as if better for the run when 16 lengths third on his Wetherby reappearance 5 weeks ago. Should be spot on now. Another to consider.

Mostly creditable efforts in defeat last term and he's resumed with solid placed efforts at Aintree and Fontwell. He'll need more to get his head back in front here, though.

Dual winner last season, namely handicaps over 3m+ at Doncaster and Newbury. Respectable fourth at Cheltenham and Wetherby on his last 2 outings, although Chirico Vallis was narrowly ahead of him at latter venue.

Good record at Exeter, making all in extended 3m veterans' handicap there in February. Stepped up on his reappearance when 14 lengths third of 12 in 3m Ffos Las handicap 16 days ago and eased another 2 lb since.

Won the Ultima at Cheltenham Festival in 2018 and still capable of useful form for Nick Williams in 2020/21. Well beaten when returning from an absence for his new yard at Haydock in November but he's entitled to come on for the outing.

In good form in veterans' company in November, building on his Cheltenham fourth behind a couple of these rivals when winning over 25f at Haydock, beating the reopposing Up Helly Aa King by 4 lengths. Should remain competitive up 5 lb.

Looked about as good as ever under a cool ride when landing a Doncaster veterans' event (3m) on final start last season. Has returned in similarly good form, finishing 4 lengths second to Saint Xavier at Haydock last time.

Capitalised on the handicapper's mercy when making a winning debut for the Harry Fry stable at Newbury (3m, good) in April but he's been pulled up on both outings since. Hard to catch right. 5 lb out of handicap here.

A host with chances in this valuable series Final. RAMSES DE TEILLEE won nicely when venturing into veterans' company for the first time on his reappearance and this classy 11-y-o might be up to defying top weight. Last year's winner Prime Venture looks to have been laid out for this again and is feared most ahead of Ballyandy, who should relish the return to 3m, and Chirico Vallis.
