Several creditable efforts in defeat prior to recording first win over fences at Southwell (25.8f, good) in May. Runner-up on next 2 starts but jumping let him down on recent return at Kelso and looks up against it back hurdling in this competitive race.

Looked limited in 3 bumpers in Ireland in 2019/20 but has hinted at ability in maiden/novice hurdles for present yard and appeals as the type to do better now pitched into a handicap with a tongue strap enlisted. One to note in the betting.

Maiden Irish pointer who made little impact in maiden/novice hurdles earlier in the year. However, took a significant step forward upped to 22.7f when landing a soft-ground Kelso handicap this month, for which a 6 lb is fair.

Going the right way all of a sudden, building on his Lingfield (19.5f) breakthrough success when scoring upped to 23f in good style at the same course last week. Likely he has more to offer and obvious claims under a penalty.

Ended last season with back-to-back wins and further progress when just touched off by a fellow hat-trick seeker on return at Newcastle (23.7f, soft). 2 lb rise for that near miss is hardly harsh and he merits respect.

It's hard to escape the claims of THE IMPOSTER, who had plenty in hand when bagging another Lingfield handicap last week and he remains unexposed as a stayer. Piaff Bubbles and Great Raffles both arrive here on the back of near misses and are feared most, in that order of preference. Heritier de Sivola also enters calculations and Secret Secret would be a threat if he puts his best foot forward on debut for Neil Mulholland, albeit his profile is rather patchy.
