Pertemps Network 'National Hunt' Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race)

Made the frame on 2 of 3 starts in Irish points and showed a bit on Rules/hurdling debut at Warwick in April but is most likely one for handicaps later on.

Placed in points but looked in need of the run when well held on hurdling debut at Worcester 3 weeks ago.

€9,500 3-y-o, £48,000 5-y-o, Honolulu gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including French hurdler Princio de Juilley and fair French chaser Fille de Juilley. Dam maiden on Flat in France. Off mark in Irish points at second attempt (Mar 26). Yard going well and he requires a market check.

Down the field both starts in bumpers (won Irish point in between) and offered little sent hurdling at Chepstow last month.

Strong in the betting and shaped like a stayer when third of 8 in 2m bumper at Worcester (soft) on NH debut 66 days ago, finishing with running left. Longer trip will suit now hurdling and enters calculations.

€50,000 3-y-o, 60,000 gns 4-y-o, Sea Moon gelding. Dam unraced sister to very smart hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 21f) Briar Hill and bumper winner/useful hurdler (stayed 23f) Jazzaway. Off mark in Irish points at second attempt in May and makes a lot of appeal on Rules debut.

Jeremy mare. Sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser Dime A Dozen. Backed at long odds and ran to a fair level first time up despite showing signs of inexperience when runner-up in 2m4f maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse back in March 2021. Has left Leonard Whitmore and betting should guide.
